What's On in the 416
With the holiday season around the corner, Toronto has some great events to help bring the cheer. Here's what's happening throughout December.
Buskertainment: Toronto's Winter Magic closes this weekend with entertainers of all kinds roaming Yonge and Dundas Square. The theme for Buskertainment's final weekend is inspired by the bright colours of the holidays, and is an event the entire family can enjoy.
Holiday Magic: Bloor-Yorkville Shopping Centre's annual Holiday Magic event lights up downtown Toronto unlike any other event. Whether going for a drive to see the holiday light displays is already a family tradition, or is in the works of becoming one, Holiday Magic is a sight you won't want to miss. There are great sales to go along with those lights, too, so maybe a lonely trip to get shopping done wouldn't be a bad idea.
Santa Train: the York-Durham Heritage Railway is a tourist train, and starting in mid-November, Santa takes over to visit all the good children of York and Durham Regions. The train ride takes one hour, departing from Uxbridge station, and allows children each some time to sit with the jolly man in red, who also gives out small gifts on each trip. the YDHR recommend purchasing tickets ahead of time, which can be done here.
Buffalo Bills vs Atlanta Falcons: The Rogers Centre will play host to NFL football on Sunday, December 1 as the Bills and the Falcons go head-to-head. If you're looking for other Rogers Centre events, take a look at their event calendar. Tickets for the game can be purchased here.
