Les claypool’s Duo de Twang to release first album

Les claypool’s latest venture is a hill-billy, old country, twang mix cover band consisting of mostly ol’ primus favourite such as Wynnona’s Big Brown Beaver. They also cover everything from the bee gees to Alice in chains, to our very own Stompin’ Tom Connors.
The concept for Four Foot Shack, set to release February 4th, sprung from a one-off gig at a Bluegrass festival. Les has called this “my fuck-off vacation band” as it gives Claypool a chance to “bullshit” with the audience.
The 15 track album consist of only guitar by Claypool’s high school friend, Bryan Kehoe, Les’ twang and some guest appearances from Claypool’s son on banjo.

Outkast to Reunite For Coachella 2014

That's right Miss Jackson, I am for real! prefixmag has confirmed that Andre 3000 and Big Boi will once again unite this April to play Coachella 2014. There are even rumours the duo is plannig a tour after the festival. I wouldn't get my hopes up just yet, the two split seven years ago due to some inner conflicts. We'll see how Coachella goes.
